emacs24-bin-common software package provides GNU Emacs editors shared, architecture dependent files, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install emacs24-bin-common
emacs24-bin-common is installed in your system.
